Why we exist

Stockings fail in ways that spoil mornings: a misspelled name discovered in front of everyone, the new baby’s stocking that visibly doesn’t match, a loop that gives way at two pounds of oranges, a corporate order arriving on the 27th.

Every one of those is a process failure, decided before the needle moves — and deciding them properly is the entire company.

The set is a specification

Nobody buys stockings once. The set grows — a partner, a baby, the dog — and each addition arrives years after the originals.

So we hold your spec on file: body fabric, cuff, thread colour, name style. Stocking six, ordered in year four, hangs beside stocking one as if they were sewn the same afternoon. On a mantel, matching is what belonging looks like.

A bag that hangs by one loop

A filled stocking weighs two to four pounds and hangs for a month from a single point. We build for that: a bar-tacked loop, seams sewn for load, and a lined body that a toy corner cannot split.

The same honesty extends to hardware — holders rated with the stocking FULL, and a plain warning that a pretty unrated hook ends up on the floor with the fruit.

Thread for names, ink for pictures

Embroidery is thread in the cloth: it survives decades of handling and boxing, which is why the name on the cuff is always sewn, never printed.

Dye-sublimation is ink in the cloth: the route for photos and edge-to-edge patterns. Many stockings rightly use both — printed body, embroidered cuff — and we say plainly which yours should be.

Names are checked before they are sewn

Every name arrives in writing and is checked letter against letter before the machine runs — at one stocking or four hundred, because unpicked embroidery leaves a shadow that never fully goes.

On variant spellings we ask; we never assume.

December is a deadline

A stocking that arrives after Christmas is a refund, not a gift. So in the December window your order-by date and delivery date go in writing with the quote — and we decline dates we cannot make instead of discovering the miss together on the 23rd.

The rest of the year, about two weeks, express available.

Programmes for the six-week season

Shops and studios run December on our blanks — the same cut, cuff and loop batch after batch, machine-ready for monogramming, restocked mid-season to the held spec.

Gift brands go one further: we personalise and drop-ship under their label, and in January we give honest sell-through advice instead of quoting another hopeful pallet.

What we will talk you out of

Printing the name. A stocking build that doesn’t match the set. A logo dominating an employee’s cuff. An unrated hook under a full stocking. And any December date we already know we would miss.

Each of those costs us an order sometimes, and saves a Christmas morning every time.
